O4 Research was approached to support an exciting UK based Phase II placebo-controlled Atopic Dermatitis study. There was a challenging recruitment period assigned with a targeted demographic including adults and adolescent subjects (30% of cohort).
Due to O4’s expertise in proactive patient recruitment coupled with bespoke advertising campaigns, this study was a perfect fit. We were responsible for protocol development and feasibility, through to study start-up activities, site management and monitoring.
One of the challenges of the study was recruiting motivated patients within a short recruitment period. We overcame this challenge by using a pragmatic and tailored study specific approach to patient identification and recruitment which enabled compressed study completion.
With such a close working relationship with investigative sites, O4 was well placed to make robust and expedient site selection. We place real value on our partnership with sites and believe it creates a conducive environment for research to flourish.
Working together each step of the way from feasibility through to closeout, O4 complimented the sites’ strengths by providing support, encouragement and instigating strategies to assist with recruitment and retention. The mutual benefits for all stakeholders involved were evident throughout the study lifecycle.
